How To Make The Perfect Cuppa
Making the perfect cup of tea
Let’s face it, we’re all experts when it comes to making the perfect cup of tea! And why not? Tea’s a personal thing. Whether you like to put the milk in first, or leave the teabag in, there’s a million different methods out there!
Here’s the way our Master Blender likes to make it. He reckons it’s the perfect way to enjoy Bewley’s Tea at its very best…
- Boil some fresh water then use a little to warm the teapot and also your cup.
- Pop your teabags into the teapot – how many is up to you but we recommend one teabag per cup.
- Add the boiled water straight away, then let the leaves infuse for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the teabag, give the tea a quick stir, pour yourself a cup, add some milk, then sit back, sip and enjoy!
One final tea tip
You might think your granny’s tea caddy is a bit old-fashioned but she’s cleverer than you think! Tea is sensitive to light, moisture and other odours. So the best way to enjoy a fresh cup of Bewley’s Tea is to store it in a airtight container or dry cupboard, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
