Bewley's Gold Blend Tea

Bewleys Gold Blend has been my favourite
tea for over 30 years. I first bought it in an Irish Shop in my hometown. Since that Shop has closed I have been ordering the tea from the Bewleys online shop from Dunlin to Germany.

Love this tea. Delivered promptly so we didn't have to search for it.

We started enjoying Bewley’s Gold Blend tea when we were in Dublin for three years for my medical training. That was 1994. Ever since we moved to Canada in 1999%2C we had been looking for Bewley’s tea until we found it locally in Halifax%2C Nova Scotia with our move but quite expensive. It has been over 20 years since then and we have had Bewley’s bought locally and then through Amazon and directly through Bewley’s. It was most economical to buy direct and we were happy enjoying the world’s best tea in Canada. Recently%2C Bewley’s international shipping rates have gone up exponentially and it is not much cost effective any more to order it directly from Bewley’s delivered to Canada. For a €79 order%2C our shipping cost was €132. Add to it the customs duty we had to pay%2C it doesn’t leave it cost effective any more. This is unfortunate as it might make us think changing to a different brand just because of the shipping costs. It is great tea that we have recommended to many of our friends some of who have since been “hooked” to it. It is a shame we may have to change to a different one after more than 20 years%21 %0D%0AAlso%2C previously loose tea bags were available more readily but not any more.

We love Gold Blend in our house, take it on holidays every year as nowhere makes tea like we do. However, I have noted with the new material on the bags that they are bursting much easier, driving me mad sometimes when I have to remake my cup of tea.
