A few weeks ago, I discovered a screw—yes, a literal piece of metal in a teabag from Bewley’s. It sliced my lip open. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I found another piece of metal in the same box. After their so-called “investigation,” Bewley’s washed their hands of it, implying the metal magically appeared in my mouth without any fault on their part.
And what was their grand gesture for causing injury and selling contaminated products? Three measly boxes of teabags !!! as if I’d ever trust their brand again. I followed up, but their customer service (if you can call it that), led by Sarah O’Donoghue, decided silence was the best strategy and ignored every email.
This company clearly doesn’t take consumer safety seriously, and their complete lack of accountability is appalling. I’ll be making a TikTok video to expose this dangerous brand. Do yourself a favour—avoid Bewley’s at all costs.
