We now source our organic Bewley's Subirana No.00 Coffee Beans 1KG from Honduras. More specifically, from the Comisuyl Co-operative in a region called Subirana. Bewley's invested in this Fairtrade Co-op by purchasing carbon credits and offsetting our emissions to become Ireland's first Carbon Neutral Coffee Company. This payment assists the farmers to maintain sustainable and renewable energy practices and a premium quality yield.

Subirana - the perfect coffee

Having searched for years for a coffee with the right balance of flavour, aroma, sweetness and acidity, I think I have found it. Too many coffees are bitter, harsh and astringent but Subirana has all the right qualities in my book for a perfect cup of coffee.

I was not told when order was sent - I was not advised duty would need to be paid by me because it was a larger order than before - I could have reduced the order size quite easily and happily- I found out only by chasing for information / so order was two weeks late arriving / Bewley’s did a very poor job on the communications here the whole way through from when order was placed - I expect coffee will be a much nicer experience
